NEXT BIG EVENT

Katie’s songs are visceral in their story-telling and the music is brimming with textures, many reminiscent of her home on a hill farm in the North Pennines. She is joined by two world class Folk musicians, Dave Gray on melodeon and Grace Smith on fiddle. With all three on vocals and Katie on Piano, they create a heartswelling symphonic sound. Like their players, these songs exude heart, warmth and melody which leave you feeling up-lifted and welcomed.

Their latest album ‘FLOW’ produced by Mattie Foulds (Karine Polwart, Rachel Newton, Adam Holmes and The Embers) flew into the top 30 of the Folk album chart in Summer 2022. Katie describes it as their boldest story telling yet.

Katie and the Navigators are a friendly bunch who can bring a completely self-contained show for up to 100 people, and who provide their own sound equipment (semi acoustic so not too loud!) and some small lights for atmosphere. We need space for 3 of us and a keyboard. The normal format of the show is 2×45 minute sets with an interval of 20-25 minutes but we are happy to be adaptable to individual promoters needs. You can expect a highly polished performance of great songs with great stories attached, many of them inspired by the people, places and landscapes of the North of England.
